Guilherme Mendes established Tutano with the help of Anna Paola and Marcelo in July 2003. However, the inception of this journey dates to the 1990s, when Guilherme joined Rede Minas, an educational TV channel in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He oversaw the station's first broadcast design project. He created and directed openings, bumpers, artwork, and programming calls. Unconventional works, with references in video art, classic cinema, graphic design, and fine arts. The pieces, collages, motion graphics, experimental videos, caught the attention of some advertising professionals, and commercials became part of his routine. Aesthetic and language experimentation, precise editing, meticulous direction, and attention to the soundtrack are the most striking characteristics of his projects.
